The Admin Abuse Resistance (AAR)
The Admin Abuse Resistance (AAR) was created by TonyTCB and Qaz, originally to fight admin abuse on Discord.
This happened at around the same time as Pop was suffering from abusive moderation. Pop Admins and Mods, reportedly a user by the name of Norbit, began censoring and deleting memes they didn't think were funny. Eventually this ballooned into deleting all kinds of memes sent by members of yegg.
The new AAR immediately was sent into a controversy, fighting against Pop and its moderation.
This led to a riot in the chats of Pop, with people sending memes back and forth as a form of argument.
This whole idea was embraced by TonyTCB,
coining the term "meme war".

Did you Know?
The AAR did not only pressure Pop into calming down, they went after several unrelated servers for abuse, reporting many moderators to their superiors for abuse of power.
